Monterey 262 Cruiser - Vinyl upholstery

Im getting the original vinyl upholstery replaced, but Im not sure how the to remove the "side panels" There are a few screws below each panel, but it seems that these are not the only screws that holds the panel in place. Any ideas how they could be removed? (see pic no 2, 4 and 5)
