    I pulled the carpet and placed a 1" thick rubber grate down and then interlocking anti-fatigue mat cut to size. I dont think one can ever keep that spot dry enough to carpet.

    My 2021 M-65 has a Roswell tower and the paint has begun peeling off the tower, has anyone else had this problem? The boat is in a salt-water environment but it is on a covered lift and washed after every use. The only areas peeling are where the tower attaches to the boat.

    Hello folks, purchaed a used fs late last year, boat has duel batteries with an on/ off switch, was expecting a different switch configuration to isolate the two batteries. From what I can gather is that the two batteries are wired in parallel. I will go down to the storage to determine if there is a blue sea regulator as to charge both batteries independently. But onto the real question, Manuel says to use standard marine starting batteries, group 24, 750 CCA. Has anyone run AGM’s starter/ deep cycle combo’s? Any issues? Or stick with what the manual says?

    Hoping MOST will chime in for me. My starboard side does not have the 14" Flags emblem below the Monterey logo and I'd like both sides of my boat to match. I've inquired to two Monterey dealers and neither reached back out. Did my boat only come with one? Seems odd. Wold like to fix this. Thanks

    My bathroom floor drain / shower bilge did not work on my 2021 M65. I found zero power to the bilge. In fact upon removing the 10" subwoofer I found the 5 amp bildge lead was not wired to anything. I ran my own power / ground wires off the helm fuse box and now have power to my mid section bildge. I'm sure the boat was optioned with the shower bildge, but it just didn't get connected. It's quite the manajarie of wires running through the boat to say the least.

    Mine had a circuit breaker for the bilge pumps at the Main battery switch panel.

    My boat has the upgraded premium JL Audio sound sustem, but I don't have any information as to where the amp is located or what model it is. Looking to add a few more speakers, but need to know if I need to upgrade the amp as well. Any help would be much appreciated!

    There are two bilge pumps in cabin floor with shower sump. Cant get them to come on even if i turn float manually. Seems that both not working it is a power issue. Nothing on DC panel for them. Any ideas where to look for their power supply ? also the sump pump does come on if i run water in it.

    I turned on my batteries to raise the engine hatch and everything came on fine but the engine hatch will not open. I can start the engines fine and everything works but the hatch will not open. I do not see any other access into the engine compartment. I have a 2012 328SS. Any help would be appreciated.

    Allow me to attempt to provide an answer to your question. I think the second part of your question is easier to answer than the first part, speed, unless there is someone with the exact same boat and setup. The speed probably varies based on the propeller size/type, hull shape, weight etc. Using the stats provided by Mercury Marine https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/engines/inboard-and-sterndrive/mercruiser/82l/, this engine produces 430 HP, 4600 - 5000 Maximum RPM @WOT. Not sure if the engine is a Mercury Marine or Volvo Penta but it is a Chevy 502 so the brands are probably similar in HP and RPM. I would say that what you reported seems to be accurate with these stats.

    Greetings, Trying to understand/troubleshoot the windlass operation on a 2004 Monterey 302 that I have been working on for the last couple of years. The windlass is the original Simpson Lawrence, not sure if it's a 600 or 700 since I can't see the label on the windlass. On another note, I was able to get the bow thruster working so hoping that this problem is easy to resolve. I disconnected the windlass motor from the terminals in the anchor locker and connected directly to a 12V battery and it worked. Reversed the polarity back in forth caused the anchor to go up and down. I found the circuit breaker which is installed on the battery panel, for clarification, this is the panel that controls the battery voltage for the port/starboard motors and the generator. The circuit breaker switch is okay. One other thing I'm going to do is ohm out the wire from the circuit breaker so I can make sure power is going to the terminals in the anchor locker. There is one cut wire. If you've ever worked on a boat that someone else owned, you realized that people do some stupid things to save money not to fix something. Will also attempt to find the ground since the wires are packaged up . Here's my question: Where is the solenoid reversing switch? There should be one somewhere since there are foot switches as well as a 3 position toggle switch at the helm. I read a previous post where the individual said there wasn't one on the 298. My understanding is this is required like the bow thruster to reverse the direction. I suspect it's somewhere in the helm but before I start taking things apart I wanted ask someone. Thanks in advance for you help.

    Hi folks, Just purchased a 2023 monterey M-205. Want to get it into the garage for the winter. It has the wake tower and even folded forward its too tall. Does anyone know how hard it would be to take it off?

    Hello, I have a 2004 explorer 233. It looks just like yours and has a clean bottom and I got it up to 43 miles an hour at TopSpeed with a 5.0 MerCruiser and the alpha three out drive. I really like your double canopy set up. Did you do that yourself? Where did you get them by chance?
