I too am curious about the vinyl color/source. I have a small tear on our 2006 282CR and not sure if it can be repaired or the entire seat needs to be recovered. I want the vinyl to match the rest of the seats, and need to know if the same is still available. MOST, can you help ????

brass plugs on back of each exhaust manifold, brass pitcock or plug on side of engine block, pull of hose on water pump. you could always pull water intake hose off and use a garden hose with a hose clamp and a 5 gallon bucket of -100 antifreze and run engine then fog and shut off engine should be up to temp to make sure thermostat is open. it is best to drain engine before doing this but people do do with out draing but use -100 anifreze good luck

on a 2006 282cr fuel sender not working... what type / make is the sending unit part # ?

You can reach back there and twist pump off base its the same as front pump you may have enough play in wire to replace or it may just be cloged with somthing. good luck and happy boating

All is well with head system now. vac pump was wierd to bus under helm. rewierd to 12v panel marked head .....

Dave, try taking belt off and see if noise stops dont run engine too long.. maybe belt or power stearing pump also cheak fuel cooler hose for good water flow.. good luck

Dave, Try changing the fuel filter. I had a 5.7 gsi that would whine when filter had about 20 hr on it water or sluge from ethenol fuel.. good luck

Dan, Thanks for the info. this was a new leftover boat. just needed some water in system pump stoped running. there has to be a way of shuting vac pump off other then battery switch. does your head switch on your 282 12 v panel controll vac pump. thanks paul

Ian, thanks pump seams to be fine but the 12vdc panel does not controll pump, I do see a switch that is marked head system. but even off .Head pump still runs.

We just purchased a new leftover '06 Monterey. The mattress cover seems to be stained and worn out probably from too many boat shows. Was wondering if there was still replacement cover available?

on a 282 cr with a vacu flush head is there anyway to shut the pump off . without shutting battery switch off.

<br /><br /><br /> Thanks Dan for responding back. Mine is also a 2006 left over. Sea trialed it in 4 foot seas, boat seemed to be solid and stable. Where do you boat at? We will be at the New Jersey shore and then hopefully at the Chesapeake by the end of this summer. Paul
