midwest cruiser 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2014 Hello fellow Monterey boat owners. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience wtith hydraulic swim platform lifts? I've seen them on larger boats and thought it would be a nice upgrade on our 262CR. Is that even possible? Thanks for any input.
Rip5 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2014 It may be possible for your size boat, but not usually on hulls shorter than 28ft. Cost would be about 1/2 what you paid for your boat. http://www.tntlifts.com/products.html
Heinrich 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2014 I have considered doing a project like this a few times on our boat (but likely not worth the cost)… or adding some sort of ‘step down’ transom (maybe extension on the existing platform that’s closer to the waterline?). Has anyone attempted this on a 270CR? Please keep us posted on how it turns out.
Rip5 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2014 It's probably a safe bet that knowone has attempted this on a 270CR or 262CR. Likely once the OP see's the cost, he won't have anything to keep you posted on. However, I have seen people add crazier costly things to their boat, so I guess you never know for certain.
