Ugh 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2016 Good afternoon, My fiance' and I just signed for a new 2016 278SS bow rider and are now in the process of outfitting it prior to the season starting. We did not get the factory GPS and would like to add one before the season starts. Our area of use is in NY and consists of Eastern Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, and we are going to try Cayuga Lake this summer. I am not too particular but 7" touchscreen minimum would be nice. No need for a transducer or radar and the budget is less than $1,000. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. (the Garmin 741xs caught my eye but am unsure)

Ugh 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2016 I was looking at that one. Seemed reasonable, just need to confirm space available for mounting. Thanks
298SS Guy 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2016 Over the years I've bought nothing but Garmin's. I love them and am on the St Lawrence and Lake Ontario. Easy to use so far bulletproof.
Bob 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2016 Garmin units are by far the most user friendly. Easy to use and if you have an iPad you can create routes on it With the Garmin Blue Chart app and then transfer them to your GPS plotter. The 741 is a good suggestion
