The MOST 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 Trailer Boats Magazine's February 2006 issue features the 290 Cruiser (3/30/2006) Excerpts from the Monterey 290 CR boat test in the February, 2006 issue of Trailer Boats Magazine: "Monterey is taking a different approach to the design of its homegrown cruisers by combining influences from European sport yachts with a progressive, clean look." "Cruisers typically are available in conservative hull colors, such as white and off-white. However, Monterey -- taking a cue from the color palette of the Italian and British sport yachts -- includes Caribbean blue and Cabernet along with the conservative but attractive Pearl as hull colors for the 290." "Details say it all. Fenders can be hidden in transom stowage to help ensure a clean look. Likewise, the stylish three-door cabinetry of the cockpit wet bar stows an Igloo cooler. The progressive design of the cockpit makes it perfect for enjoying the sun and entertaining friends." "Monterey breaks with tradition again at the helm, where you'll find a unique arrangement of silver-and-black gauges within a contoured graphite dash. A split double driver's seat features extra-high back support, and the combination of a stylish dash and helm seat helps give the Monterey 290 a sports-car feel for the driver."
