The MOST 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 "The Next Big Thing" (3/1/2004) The 350 Sport Yacht is described by Jeanne as "an express Cruiser with hot legs" due to the steamy European style lines and the performance to back it up! The Monterey 350 acheived 50 mph in the face of "hair-snapping" 20 knot winds and a stinging downpour that day on the Guana River near St. Augustine, Florida. The maneuverability of the boat impressed Ms. Craig as she took the helm to get a feel for the boat herself. She describes the boat's twin sterndrive 420 hp Volvo Penta engines as "carving through turns without a fuss" after reaching plane in just 5 seconds! After a few hours of fighting some very nasty weather, the dock looked pretty inviting I'm sure, but not as inviting as the warm, "buttery" cabin of Monterey's new 350 Sport Yacht. As Jeanne dryed off she admired the salon with it's feel of spaciousness, but loved the private spaces offered by the interior layout.
