Support Piston For Engine Compartment

Greetings all, I hope the boating season is going well for everyone.

I'm looking to find the hydrualic support arm that supports the engine

compartment cover on my 1995 monterey 276. I accidentally fell back

on it while I was working in the engine compartment. I heard the gas

escape from it and it no loger supports the hatch in the open position.

 

Any help or direction would be greatly appriciated.

I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell!

 

The information on that gas spring is no longer in the system however, it was most likely an Attwood product and probably a 70# spring. You will find the part number on the side of the spring in very tiny white letters. If you cannot locate an entire part number try to confirm the pressure (50 lb, 60 lb, 70 lb etc.) that number is usually on one end.
