erik 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2010 Need assistance please. Last weekend the starter switch on the dash malfunctioned and caused my starter to remain engaged. I believe (will confirm this weekend) that I need to replace the dash starter switch and the starter. I have the 5.7 merccruiser engine. Can you point me in the right direction for replacement parts? The MOST 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2010 Hello Erik, Contact your nearest Monterey dealer that sells Mercury products or any authorized Mercury service center for your parts. You can go to www.mercurymarine.com or call 405-743-6566 (in Oklahoma) for a service center near you. General cleaning with a gentle soap and wiping the dash and switches down with fresh water should be part of your regular maintenance schedule.
