Hello, I am looking for some feedback on this. I recently inherited my fathers 2001 242 Cruisers with a 5.0 L GL Volvo Penta with a 2-barrel carb. It also has a ss prop with a 17" pitch. When I run my myself and 1/2 tank of fuel I can get 4300 rpm and 32 mph. When I take people out (5-8) with a full tank I get 10 mph and 3000 rpm. Is this a case of just being under powered or could it be a clogged carb etc...? Any suggestions in getting more HP? I am told going to a 4-barrel carb may help? Thank you
