298 SC Port Motor cylinders full of fuel

Recommended Posts

Hi recently bought a 2004 Monterey 298 SC with 5.7 Volvos. I went to Lake Powell, UT launched the boat all was great. I went over to the pump out to suck out the waste tank. Sucked it out went to leave and the port side motor wouldn't start. After doing research we figured the cylinders were flooded. So we pulled the plugs cranked it over got the fuel out of them put the dried plugs back in. An it fired up and ran like a champ for the four days we were there. After the trip we got back I went to dump the waste again and the same thing happened again. I got home hooked a hose up to it and it fire right up. Any suggestions on what is going on. Thanks Brad
