262 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2020 Hi guys. I have a 262 cruiser and was wondering if any of you with the same boat and engine could give me some information about your prop set. I have the volvo 5.7 GSi with duo prop and running the F3. I know about the procedure for testing prop and will do some tests this weekend but would like some info prior that. My friend runs F6 on the 7.4 so I am guessing I could maybe run F4 for better cruising on mine. Thanks Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dave C 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2021 Hello boaters, I purchased a 1997 Monterey 262 with Mercruiser 7.4 with a Bravo 3 out drive. the props are Mercruiser 26p. The boat is extremely slow to plane and has 4200 rpm at wide open throttle. I would appreciate some input on the prop size.
