Posted 07 October 2013 - 11:30 AM I have a 2004 298 SC. My marina left the batteries on with the bilge running and now they are dead. How can you lift the electric hatch ??. Most boats have a place to hook on jumpers to lift the electric hatch So you can start the engines. I opened up where the hole is for spraying a fire extinguisher under the seat but no way to reach the pin to disconnect the hydraulic hatch lift. Any ideas??. There is no way to put jumpers through the fire extinguisher hole under the seat and see to attach to the batteries. What can I do ?? Thanks.

BUY THE BOAt!! I have a 2005 298SC. I have also owned several Sea Rays. The Monterey is every bit as good. The board rides great and is easy to keep up. Mine still looks and runs new even though it will be 8 years old. The replacement is a little bigger but this boat model was in production for at least 8 pr 9 years I believe. Go for it you will not regret it! Good luck !!

I have a 2004 298sc. I have found water behind the carpeted hatch in the sole of the boat by the cabin door. There seems to be a pump there. Any idea where the water would be Coming from? Would it be from my ac unit ??? If the pump is bad any idea whatbthe replacement part is ?? Thanks

Have a 2004 298sc. Been using the A/C alot and this morning walked on carpet in the cabin and it was wet- any ideas? No rain .. Could it be coming from the A/C or where else. Water seems clean and does not smell. Thanks

Have a 2005 298 SC with 350 Magnums. Replaced distributor cap on port engine now all of sudden it is making a hissing noise. At idle no noise ut a soon as you give it a little throttle the hissing starts and gets louder like air is being sucked in. Could it bee the Air Control Valve???

Is there enough space under the head sink to cut out an 11" wide 6" deep 7" high opening to install a storage box ???
