I own the 290cr since 2007. It was a new leftover 2006 model.
Boat has been great. I am looking to move up soon since it is a little on the small side for a family of 5 for overnighting. It was fine when the kids were smaller.
Very Fast and Powerful. Pulls tubes and skiiers no issue. (use longer tow line for skiers)

handles chop great 1-3 footers and occasional coastal runs.
Fun to cross wakes. Just not at high speeds
Easily trimable for conditions
Best finish. after a wax it looks like the day I bought it.
only minor issues with some of the latches, and some water in the bildge (but this is normal on Monterey from a drain in the achor locker)
