I have a 2000 model 262 and I plug into AC shore power at my marina. On my power distribution panel inside the cabin, there is a a red lamp with the label "POLARITY REVERSED". The lamp is normally OFF when shore power is plugged in. But there is also a button that says "PUSH TO TEST". If I press this button down, the POLARITY REVERSED lamp turns on bright red. 1. I have used a voltmeter at the AC pedestal on the dock as well as one of my AC receptacles inside the boat and all voltage readings across the hot/neutral/ground terminals appear normal. So there seems to be no electrical issues. 2. Is my PUSH TO TEST button actually testing my AC polarity at that moment, or is it only testing the warning lamp to ensure its bulb is not burned out? Yes, I found it under the step leading into the cabin. You just lift up the step, it's on hinges.

Hi, I recently purchased a 2000 Monterey 262 and I'm learning my way around. I've read the owner's manual instructions for operating the toilet and it says I need to open the toilet inlet water seacock. But I can't seem to find where this seacock is located? I've looked all around the engine compartment, but I don't see it. The manual does not say where it is. Can someone please tell me where I can find this seacock? Thanks.

I found the cabin lights wall switch. It's on the right end of the galley below the countertop, on the side wall of the cabinet. Everything working ok now.

Hi. I just bought a 2000 Monterey 262, but I can't seem to get the cabin lights to turn on. The cabin lights in the head work though and the stereo comes on. Is there some passenger wall switch that controls the cabin lights? I've looked everywhere but don't see any. The schematic shows an inline fuse somewhere, but where do i find that? Since the lights in the head work, I doubt it's a fuse problem anyway. Thx
