Hello all. I’ve recently purchased a 2007 Monterey 270 Sports Cruiser. I’m concerned about the amount of bilge water that remains in the bilge when the auto bilge cuts out. The pump is working correctly but seems to be positioned too high in the bilge compartment to get most of the bilge water out. I tested it by filling the bilge with a garden hose. The pump cuts in automatically and is pumping efficiently but because of its position in the bilge a whopping 40 litres (9 US Gallons) remains when it cuts out. I’ve never seen a bilge system calibrated like this. Has anyone encountered this issue before ?
