  1. I bought a 2001 262Cr in pretty good shape this spring, and I notice that the steering wheel has quite a bit of slop in it (about 15-20deg). When I manually move the lower unit to port or stern, it seems to be fairly tight (makes me think the steering gimbal should be fine), but I’d really like to tighten up the steering at the helm. It looks like a teleflex system. I’m just not sure how to take the play out of it, or if that’s even a possibility. Thanks!
  2. I believe I’m about to embark on a project to replace the tracks and runners for the sliding cabin door on my 01 262, as I have always needed to lift the door with one hand and open or close it with the other, and the bottom track seems to be lifting from its seat. That said, I’d love to be able to purchase the correct track and runners (delrin ball or truck style) for this project. Has anyone had to replace these and if so, can you tell me the correct replacement parts? I called Monterey on this already and they don’t have those specific details from that far back.
