Fender 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2017 I have an 05 248 LS with a 350 Mag/Bravo 3 drive and 22 pitch props. My WOT is 4600-5000 rpm and I ran it up to 5400 rpm and still had a little more throttle left. My question is what would be a good pitch to get my WOT in the range it should be in? Thanks
Rip5 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2017 23-24. I suspect your tach is not real accurate. 5400 rpm is close to self destructing that motor.
Fender 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2017 I just had my tach rebuilt by Faria and the cylinder settings on the back are correct. I'm thinking at least 24 and maybe 26 on the pitch. I've heard conflicting information on how much 1" of pitch changes the rpm and I'm trying to avoid buying several sets of props.
