Seating includes a captain’s chair with a flip-up bolster and a removable transom seat, which efficiently provides additional cockpit space. The keenly-designed layout makes for easy maneuverability yet still provides an entertainment center consisting of a wet bar, a covered sink with faucet, built-in beverage coolers and a number of cup holders. The command center of the 290 Cruiser houses full instrumentation of navigational aids including a depth sounder, compass and tachometers. Polycarbonate lenses coupled with chrome bezels highlight no-fog Faria gauges, and a premium nite-lite and lighted electronic toggle switches make them all within easy sight and reach. The 290 also comes standard with tilt steering and a remote control for a cabin mounted AM/FM/CD stereo. Two 12 volt receptacles are also available for personal electronic use. The 290 Cruiser incorporates a luxurious interior layout that combines comfort, convenience and class. Crown cherry-wood mica cabinetry and Granicoat countertops adorn an attractive full-service galley that features a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, sink and even a coffee maker. Behind a crown cherry-wood door is a well-lit, ventilated head with a stand-up shower that includes a curtain and shower seat, a mirrored vanity with sink and storage for accessories, and comes standard with 120v outlet and Vacuflush head with holding tank and dockside pumpout. The 290 Cruiser is designed to accommodate a number of guests, but grants each occupant the luxury of seclusion. Both the roomy forward entertainment settee/dinette area and the mid-cabin U-shaped lounge convert to a double bed and feature curtains for optional privacy.
