jasonbcla 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 on my 2004 180 the trim system will not lift the alpha drive if the pistons are disconnected they can be extended and will hold the unit in the up possition, and trim down but when you try to trim back up the pistons extend 4 inches and stop i dont get it. also the trim guage is stuck is this related, fixable last but not least i was told that the idle controol module needed to be replaced where is this located and where can i aquire it AHHHHHH i got the used boat blues any help is greatly appreciated Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
The MOST 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 The drive trim issue could just be the sensor and you will know by having that fixed first if it is related to the gauge sticking...you should check with a Mercury or Volvo Penta certified tech on both of your problems.
