Blue Cruiser 2002 282 Monterey 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2009 When our 2002 282 Monterey Cruiser was winterized this fall on our lift, the mechanic left the boat with the battery charger breaker on, but he turned off the selector switches (port engine, parallel battery, starboard engine and generator) in the open cockpit cabinet below the cold water sink. Therefore the D C volt meter at the main breaker box in the cabin showed zero. Shore power was connected and on with voltage indicated on the A C meter. Did this cause the batteries to be disconected from the battery charger or were the three batteries being charged?
The MOST 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2009 Hello Blue Cruiser, As long as the battery charger is on and in good working order, the batteries are being charged no matter what position the battery switch/switches are in.
