Hi there, How is the oil level? is it level or maybe it can be a litle low, i think you should call a mercruiser dealer, that´s not normal at all. Search your local dealer in the mercruiser web site. The MOST 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2009 It could be the oil pump...I agree with Marfi that a Mercruiser tech should give it a look as soon as possible. The max rpm range for the 4.3L sterndrive is 4400-4800 so at 4100 you are getting close to max and oil pressure should be at it's best, not dropping.
