    sorry for my bad english

    Louis Botter from the netherlands

    Hello Louis,

Your alarm is telling you that the engine needs attention because something is wrong. It is putting it into "safe mode" to prevent serious damage from occuring- that is why it slows to 2000 rpm. If the boat has been sitting, it needs a full check up by your Monterey dealer or an authorized mechancic Immediately. There could be debris lodged in the cooling system, oil leak or any number of other things causing the alarm to go off.

If you continue to run the engines you can possibly cause serious damage.

  2. Hello boatingboy,

The fuel sender was most likely a WEMA but Rochester style was also used by the vendor. Give them a call, they might have one in stock. Your fuel tank part numbers are below as they were not mirror images of each other and the vendor will need to know whch one you need:

    TANK-FUEL-59709-01 1 EA 282CR 71 GAL PORT FUEL TANK W/PRIMER

    TANK-FUEL-59710-01 1 EA 282CR 71 GAL STBD FUEL TANK W/PRIMER

Manufacturer was RDS Industries- 850-584-6898 in Florida (a great group of people!).

  3. Hello Erik,

Hose lengths and part numbers are:

    HOSE-16-350-0580F- 12 FT -5/8" USCG TYPE A21 FUEL VENT

    HOSE-16-350-1120F- 12 FT -1-1/2" USCG TYPE A2 FUEL FILL

Original vendor was Marine Products International, 877-674-4673 but I am certain your local Monterey dealer or marine supply store will have this as well.

Owner's manuals are a work in process....

  4. Hello Sylvain,

Were they working before and suddenly stopped working? Did anyone do any work on the boat recently or add new electrical appliances? Have any lightening storms that could have possible caused a power surge? Were any of the breakers kicked to the off position when you discovered the problem?

It would probably be best to contact your Monterey dealer or a certified marine electrician check things out for you.

  5. Hello Erik,

Contact your nearest Monterey dealer that sells Mercury products or any authorized Mercury service center for your parts.

You can go to www.mercurymarine.com or call 405-743-6566 (in Oklahoma) for a service center near you.

General cleaning with a gentle soap and wiping the dash and switches down with fresh water should be part of your regular maintenance schedule. Use a little WD40 as well on the switches to help ward off corrosion....

    Hope this helps!

  6. hello fltcrew21,

On the 2001 240 Exploere, the water is put into the "water fill" located on the gunwhale of the boat- opposite the "gas fill". The water pump is turned on with the accessory switch at the helm.

When you winterize the boat, empty the water tank and system of all water to prevent freezing and cracking of the tank, lines, sink and transom shower.

  7. Hello fltcrew21,

The original graphics are no longer available from the vendor (unfortunately). You can order current Sportboat or Deckboat graphics from our Jacksonville, Florida dealership:

    North Florida Yacht Sales

    8940 San Jose Blvd.

    Jacksonville , FL 32257

    904-733-7502

    www.northfloridayachtsales.com

Parts Department will be happy to drop ship direct to you at the dealer's request!

  8. Hello Scott,

The skin patterns are still available but the original vinyl is no longer manufactured by the vendor. The color would be the current white.

The cockpit cover is also still available. We do not offer mooring covers as a factory option on any of our boat models but I am certain your Monterey Dealer will be able to obtain a quote for you.

Upholstery is about 3 to 4 weeks out on delivery to your Dealer (right now) from the vendor and canvas is about the same!

  9. Hello RSUMRTOY2,

The macerator was an option on the 2004 282 Cruiser. Please forward your hull identification number (it begins with the letters RGF) to info@montereyboats.com and your boat's hull file can be accessed to answer that question for you.

  10. Hello Kreg,

The microwave in your 2003 Monterey 322 is attached to a base that is screwed into the top of the bread cabinet. If you open the door to the microwave, right at that bottom edge you will see the heads of two screws going down into the cabinet below- those are what are holding it in place. If it does not easily slide out, check inside the top of bread cabinet way at the back to see if there is a third screw (some installers used two, some installers used three screws)going up into the cabinet and microwave base.

Your microwave was an Origo model #3252G and was distributed by InterCon (941-355-4488 in Florida).

Microwaves have improved since 2003- and so has popcorn. Wattage requirements vary, depending on the brand of popcorn. You do not have to use the same brand of microwave and many boat owners purchase the smaller size ones at Wal-Mart or other home supply stores.

    Hope this helps!

  11. Hello Rip5,

That plastic lense should "pop off" with a twist. Maybe yours is stuck...(?)

That nav light is part #3133-1-CHROME and manufacturer is Attwood, www.attwoodmarine.com on line or (616-897-9241). You can probably find them at West Marine or other marine supply store as well. They are a current part number, ususally sold as a pair.

    I hope this helps.
