make sure the fuel tank air vent line is not kinked, that will cause an air pressure buildup as you fill the empty tank with fuel causing it to flow back out the fuel fill neck.

make sure u making tape the area you will be drilling, it keeps the gell coat from chipping and always start drilling into the gelcoat, basically from the outsid in this also minimizes spintering.
