I'm looking for a new windshield gasket for my 2005 Monterey 250cr. Any ideas where to order one? It is for the middle opening section on bottom.

I have a Monterey 250cr. The 12v fules pannel has switches for macerator and tv. I don't have either of them, but there are wires attached to these switches. Where do the wires go? Does the wires for the macerator go to the builge?
I'm thinking of adding some stuff and would like to know if some of the wires are already there.

I want to add some lights over the galley of my Monterey 250cr. The celing is a padded vinyl material. Does any know what's under that? Is there wood or just fiberglass. If I screw in, what's up there and how thick?

Fallow up. I replaced it with twin horns I got at the auto parts store. When I plug both horns in (it is wired from the factory for two) they don't work. When I unplug one of them (doesn't matter which one) the one horn works. Any ideas? But two horn will not sound.

This is the seat.

I have a 2005 Monterey 250cr. When the Helm Seat is reclined into a sunning station, the bolster does not go flat. There is room for the seat to move aft more and make room for the bolster to lie flat, but the tack will not allow any more travel. Is there an adjustmant for this? Is this the way the seat is suspose to function?

I have a 2005 Monterey 250cr. The lounger seat on the port side of the cockpit has some damage to it. How is this seat removed?

Look in your bildge. Fallow the red and blue pec plumbing pipes. The bathroom pipes run up the starboard side. They could of gotten kinked. Open the door in the cuddy and look.

My Monterey 250cr windlass update. Thanks for all the info. Here is my set up....
Hardwear store plastic drain cover. Keeps rope out of locker puddle that doesn't drain.
Moved cleat over, patched holes, made a wedge to adjust rope angle, matched gel coat, and wired it up.
Made a wedge out of plexiglass. (note gelgoat doesn't stick well to plexi. I had to epoxy then gelcoat)

Question. What would be louder? Two hidden horns pinged at the grill opening, or one horn that fits in the grill opening and blasts upward? A horn that fits in the opening and blast outward is about 105dB. If I install two horns (210 dB) inside the anchor locker that are aimed at horn mesh opening how many dV is lost from the in closure? I don't want big air horns on my deck, but I want to be loud.

I'm installing a windlass on a 250cr. Same as a 245. My windlass installed without any shims, the rope comes into the windlass at about 6 deg. From what I've read. The rope should come in less then 5 degrees. So if I raised the front of my windlass up 1/2" then my rope angle is about right on.

Any boat horn? Or will the tone be off? What horn should I put in? I want to be heard.

Dodge06,Hi Mark,
I will refer to the pictures in my previous post.
As you see in Pic. #1 I removed the cabin head liner trim piece and fished form the cabin side back to the cocpit. Getting past the head was the hardest part as the head liner was glued to the hull and the head both. I used a piece of hard wood dowel which I put a taper on the leading edge to feed it through past the head and it pulled the liner away and then I feed a flat piece for wood about 1/4" x 1 1/2" cut on a taper at the lead edge. This cut away a lot more of the glued liner which allowed me to fish in a piece of wire loom ( which I purchased at a hardware store). I left the wire loom in place and this is what I ran the wires through to get past the head(Pic.#3). I removed the cup holder insert at the helm to access the aft and starboard side of the head to make sure the the loom passed the head and was exposed to be accessable (Pic #3 was taken from where the cup holder was removed). To feed wires from the engine room to the helm I removed the battery switch box (Pic.#6 was taken with the battery switch box removed) and feed the wires form the engine bay to the battery switch box then to where the cup holder insert was and then to the helm when I removed it.This way I was able to feed the wires and did not need a fish tape for it. If you remove these access areas first you should be able to do the same with little trouble.
Hope this helps if you need more let me know, if this works let us know or what you did.
Good Luck
Peter
What was the thickness of the wedge at the thickest part? What did you do yo cut the angle?
Thanks

Hello Alan,
If your 2006 250 Cruiser is pre-wired for a windlass from the factory (option), all wires are installed and tucked up in the anchor locker, helm and engine compartment. The windlass wiring used was 16/3 bonded with color code BRN/YEL/GRN and the windlass was a Lewmar product #SL0060686-PK Sprint 600.
MOST, how do you know what wires are what color. Is there a wiring diagram somewhere I could download? Is there a shop manual for boats? I'm running wires for my windlass and found some wires and I'm not sure what whey goto.

I have a question regrarding your windlass install on your 250cr. Did you change the anchor roller on the bow to a tipping one? Does the anchor deploy all right on the stock roller?

Question for you all with windlass. Do any of you have to change your anchor roller on the bow to a tipping kind. How does your anchor deploy?

I have a Monterey 250cr. The 250cr had optional AC. My question, Is there an ac discharge port already installed on my boat that is block up? I’m looking to install AC and was wondering how the discharge was handled.
Thanks

The tail end of the starboard vent cover (on a 2005 250cr) is cracked and missing a piece. I know I can get a new set from the dealership, but they want to sell me a pair. I only need one side. Any one sell the pieces individually?
Thanks

I'm looking to install ducts for the air conditioning in my Monterey 250cr. I know it came as an option from the factory. I've seen pics of boats with it, but I'm not sure what is intake and what is exhaust. I'm also not sure what is in the aft cabin for ducts. I know the unit fits under the bench on the right side. Other then that, routs for ducting and placement. Any advice and pics. Thanks.

I'm looking to extend my season - and make the wife happy. I would like to install a heater / air conditioner in my Monterey 250cr.
Background: I live in NY and our boat goes in as soon as the ice melts March 1st. and comes out at first snow. My boat is 25' cabin cruiser. It would require around a 5,000 BTU air conditioner. There is no insulation and very few and small windows in the boat. I have a 3,000 watt - 110V inverter and Large 12v bank with 420 amp hours of battery. The boat doesn't Vent well and some sort of ventilation system will be welcomed.
The plan: I want to install a Reverse cycle heat / AC unit or Diesel Air Heater. We don't get many hot days where we need AC, but it would be nice. We have more cold mornings and nights.
The Question:
1. Which one is more energy efficient? Reverse cycle heat has a compressor and fan. Diesel has pump and fan (I will have to put in a small tank for diesel fuel).
2. I know the Diesel will out perform the Reverse cycle heater on really cold days, but how much heat can I expect to get out of a Reverse Cycle heater.
Your advise:
Has any had experience with either one of these?

I was able to remove the seat. Remove the armrest and pull up from the back side. This is what the clips look like underneath. Attaches very similar to the arm rest.
