I met my wife in 01 and she had a 1998 262 with the 7.4 and it was one of the best riding boats to date.Since then we sold the Monterey bought a Regal 2460 then a Maxum 30 then a new Regal 3560 then for the last 8.5 years a 450 Sea Ray 51 ft overall. It is now for sale and next week we settle on a 2007 Monterey 270 with Volvo 5.7.Been up now coming back down and looking forward to it. Tom

Also something to check does the head have a push button to allow water to the head instead of the faucet?

There might be a kink before the head or try taking the head off and see what happens. Might be an pressure adjustment screw on the pump.What type off pump do you have and what is the psi?
