  1. I have a 2001 302 with a water heater electrical issue... Plumbing is all good, but when I am on shore power the water does not heat. When I test the leads coming into the heater (before the stat or tripping device), I have no neutral leg. Testing voltage from black to white is 0, but testing black to green is 120V. Obviously I'm not going to wire neutral to ground, I'd like to fix this up correctly. I don't see anything funny at the neutral bus behind the cabin panel, and I don't see any cut wires in the bilge but it's hard to track. All other shore power functions correctly on this same line. Am I missing something else here? Pull a new neutral? Thanks, Steve
  2. Greeting Monterey boaters. I just purchased a 2004 Monterey 302 CR, with 5.0 Volvo's. We moved up from a Four Winns 286 Vista. This boat has ton's more storage space and room. I am sure we are going to enjoy it this Summer and the Monterey.
  3. I'm looking at options for a used family cruiser that truly sleeps 4 for weekend trips. I really like what I read about Monterey, especially the 322 or 302 models. Can any current owners comment on the berth sizes, for 2 adults up to 6 ft and 2 growing kids? Thanks!
  4. I recently purchased my first Monterey, a 2001 302. I'm not new to boating, I've owned 2 Maxums, a 330DA Sea Ray and my last boat was a Regal 3880 Sedan Bridge. I've been out of boating for 7 years. I looked at a lot of boats before the Monterey. I was, and still am, impressed with this boat. The survey went well, a minor moisture issue at the windlass was the only real issue. She has twin 5.7s 674 hours, Bravo 3 outdrives, original owner, very well kept. I'll be keeping her in a dry stack for a while and may eventually put her in a wet slip. I'm excited to join the Forum and welcome any feedback on this year and model. Greg Richmond, Virginia
