Rushton 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2011 Hi, Can anyone advise if the FS180 Monterey transoms contains timber for reinforcing?, or is it all fibreglass? and has any one installed a Garelick swim step to one or similar. The awkward angles on the transom do not seem to allow installation with out it fitting at a wrong angle. Constructive suggestions welcome. Cheers Matt
Greg Thomas 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 Matt, What year is the boat. I'm sure someone will also ask for the hull ID# which is stamped into the hull on the stern of the boat.
RSUMRTOY2 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2011 In all my experience, all transoms are constructed using plywood then fiberglass coated. The plywood is also very thick, over 1" in most cases.
