2001 19 LS information

I recently purchased a 2001 1900 LS and received no owners or engine maunal. I downloaded the owner information here on this site but the information I am looking for is referenced in the engine manual. Where can I find the engine manual? Are there companies that publish repair manuals for this boat such as Clymer etc...?

 

SpecificallyI need the following.

 

Fuel octane recommendation for 5.0 mercruiser (carbureted).

Standard pitch prop for this boat.

Wiring diagram or where is the tach wire connected at the engine (gauge connections are good)?

Speedometer is not working where is the pickup/sensor and probable causes for failure (gauge connections are good).

 

Additionally the warning beep goes off momentarily when you suddenly throttle back to idle. It beeps once then stops. Previous owner explained that the oil pressure sensor is very sensitive. The oil pressure guage shows good pressure at idle and speeds above idle. I believe I heard this same thing from other owners of these boats.

You can also get some specific engine/drive info for your particular engine direct from Mercruiser. Just send them the serial # off your engine and outdrive.

Fuel is just 87 octane Unleaded (hopefully no ethanol)

Just a guess, but standard pitch of stock prop was probably 19. Sometimes 21. (Assumes Alpha 1 drive)

Do you have a pitot tube for your speedometer pickup ? Is you "tube" from pick up to gauge not cracked or clogged anywhere

from speedometer to the transom? Have you tried to blow compressed air from pick up to speedometer ? If so, does the gage register ?

Wiring diagram will be difficult to source for that age boat. Best bet is have a marine tech take a quick look at your engine, they should know in seconds where the tach connects.
