safetydiva 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 We are brand new Monterey owners. Our boat will be mostly used on a fresh water lake. This boat is replacing a dearly loved 1992 Sea Ray. Any advice on accessories, quirks, cautions, care, maintenance will be greatly appreciated! One question is we ordered the standard stereo - any reason to add the upgrade? Thanks! Rip5 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 Congrats, you will love the 204. We are on our 3rd season in our's. Standard stereo (if Fusion) is waaay better than most stock stereo's.

Rampante 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2014 Hi there! Seems we are into very similar boats, if I understood it right. I am awaiting a delivery of my 214SS today. I'll jump into your thread to listen what kind of advice and hints you get too! I'd love to see a picture or two of your boat too!
mavcar38 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2014 This is my first year of owning a Monterey. I have a 2013 214SS and love it. What prop do you have on yours? The 19P was making my rev limiter hit at WOT. I have a 21P aluminum but am getting a 21P SS. I never run her at WOT though. Any advice you have let me know! I was thinking about putting the Corsa Captains Call on it! Rip5 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2014 You NEED to run the boat at WOT occasionally, to insure you are getting the correct RPM with the prop you have. You can do more damage to the engine if you are over or under-propped. WOT run's occasionally will confirm RPM is correct.
