where to mount a Flag holder (starboard side on the transom)

Dear all,

 

I have a 250 CR and I want to mount a flag holder on the transum (starboard side) just below the "250" mark..

 

I thought I could mount it directly below with some stainless steel srews.. however putting the holder dircetly below the "250" is not possible because on the back side this area is partly closed off..

 

Any suggestions..?

Wondering what you ended up doing? I also would like to mount a flagpole in the same area...

Get a rail mount and put it in the centerline on the stern grab handle, like this owner did. Or, if you have a passion to drill into your boat, mount it on the starboard side behind the air vent and below the filler caps. For this location, a flush mount receptacle would look best.
