EuroYachting 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2020 I have 2008 Monterey 295SC with Volvo Penta 5.7 GXi 320HP. I encounter an issue while fueling my yacht. The nozzle is continually shutting down as if the tank was full. It takes ages to fill it up. It looks like fuel tank venting system is not working properly. Does anyone know how to repair it? Jakedace 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2020 You need to make sure nothing is blocking the vent line. Quite often you will find that insects can build little nests there. You should see a small vent cover thru hull fitting on the same side as your fuel fillup fitting. It should unscrew allowing you to clean it. Otherwise you may need to gain access to the top of the fuel tank and either blow obstruction to outside or replace the vent tubing al together.

steelhead 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2021 I have had cocoons Inside my vent hoses before with the same effect, just remove the fitting and blow through it.
