Scott214 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2008 I have a 2007 214FS with a Mercruiser 350 MAG/Bravo 1. The Faria tach was dead when we took it out of storage this spring. All other instruments work fine. Is there a fuse specific to the tach? If so, where do I find it?
The MOST 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2008 Hello Scott214, There is an access panel below the helm. It is made of ABS material and is held in place with screws. Once the screws are removed, you will see the fuse block. All of the fuses are clearly marked with the component and the amperage. Sometimes when they sit for a while, the gauge needle can quite simply be stuck.
Rick Thomas 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Had the same problem with my 234FSX. I ended up having to replace the tach. Most of the tachs have a lifetime warranty
Windjammer 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2008 Tach on my 03 200LS has been acting screwey - when I'm on plane it should be somewhere between 3000 and 3300 rmp and it shows about 2800rmp - when I tap it, it reads 4000 (or higher). It's a Faria - is it covered by a "lifetime warranty"? Will (or should) my dealer replace it at n/c or do I need to contact Faria direct?
