ssdsales 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 Hi, I have a 2001 322 cruiser. i'm a little concerned becasue the hull has some rust around the area where aircondition pum is ( the hole where the water comes out when you turn on the aircondition). would anyone have an idea what part is rusted inside or waht would need to be changed. the aircondition seems to be running OK but not great. Thanks
The MOST 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2009 Hello there ssdsales, If your ac is a Monterey factory installed unit, it is a Dometic Environmental (Marine Air) product and the part number was #VCD12K/1 115V AIR CONDITIONER COMPLETE. These self contained units need regular preventative maintenance such as filters cleaned and/or changed, condensation pans and strainers cleaned, a system flush from time to time as well as a regular "check up" by an authorized marine ac specialist to get the most out of their life span. It sounds like yours is in need.... To find out the nearest authorized service center: Manufacturer contact info is www.dometic.com or Dometic Corporation 2007-09, 2000 N. Thanks I also have a 322 (2002) Its the water in the pan that is causing the rust stain common problem Its just the angle of the fitting and haul not to worry.(rust remover or cleaner wax works fine)
