MichaelG 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2011 I'm planning to upgrade boats. I currently have a Sea Ray 250 DA. I had thought I'd try to find a Four Winns 298 with Diesels, until I spotted the Monterey 322. I really love the design of this boat, and am seriously leaning toward it. One of my priorities (not manditiry) is that my next boat be Diesel powered. I will be looking for between a 2001 and 2005 production year boat. My questions are: 1) Did Monterey have a diesel option during these production years? 2) If so were there many/and sold in the US? 3 Are there any performance data on this boat with diesels? The MOST 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2011 Hello Michael G, Diesel engines were offered as an option for the 322 Cruiser. Primarily for a small part of the international market- and only a handful were built for the United States. We have no performance data that I could locate in the system (sorry). MichaelG 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2011 Thanks for the reply. Would there be any information about what diesels were offered in those years?
Rip5 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2011 I'm confident that you will find the diesel engines in a 322CR will be Volvo Penta D4's.
Rip5 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2011 Ooops, it seems in 2006 Monterey offered D3's. http://www.boatindex.co.uk/detail_power.php?id=8118&resultback=ODExOA== Year Built = 2006 Engine(s) = Volvo Penta D3 Engine Type = Inboard Diesel I would prefer D4's if you can find one.
