amanphoto 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 I have a 250CR. Do you have any recommendations for a boat heater. It is cold up here now and I want to extend our boating season as long as possible. I was looking at something from Wallas. Stove/heater. Any thoughts.
Artemus 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 If you are plugged into shore power, a small portable electric heater will work. I have one of these, and it does the job very well. http://www.homehardware.ca/en/rec/index.htm/Heating-Ventilation-Cooling-Home-Comfort/Heating/Heaters/Ceramic/HEATER-CERAMIC-CUBE-HNYWL-HZ316/_/N-ntl2n/Ne-ntc74Zlno5/R-I3836470
GetAway 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2012 I found two heaters from Heater Craft sold by Defender.com Marine Outfitter at a good price. One is a 28,000 btu unit and the other is a 40,000 btu heater. Both use the water from you engines cooling system. It works with both a raw water and freshwater-closed water systems. They have a 3 speed fan and hardware to install. I'm looking into the 28,000 btu unit. It's salmon fishing time and it's cold and wet out there. We here in Oregon don't tan, we rust!!
