gpounders 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2014 Has anyone installed trim tabs on this model boat or similar model like the 224FSX or 204FS? I'm looking for an easy way to get on plane faster for water sports like wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, etc... Also staying on plane at lower speeds. Looking for something easy to use with limited adjustments when starting and slowing. Also, I don't want to interfere with ladder, swim platform etc... Any recommendations. Rip5 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2014 A 4 blade prop would be my first suggestion. 2nd I would look into Smart Tabs rather than full tabs (Bennet or Lenco) on that size boat.
Rampante 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2014 Would a 4 blade prop (or 5) make such a difference in coming up in plane compared to the standard alu one? which pitch should it be for a 4-blade? I have the standard 21 on my 214ss with Volvo 270 and SX.
Rip5 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2014 Yes the 4 blade will make a difference in time to plane. Try a 14 x 20p 4 blade aluminum. I bought a Michigan Wheel 992204 Vortex for our 204FS, and it is fantastic.
