amanphoto 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2014 I was detaling my boat and was thinkig is this the best stuff to use? What do you use to keep the exterior of your boat looking fresh. Wax or Polish? What kinds? What lasts the longest? Thanks
Indy Steve 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 I'm a big fan of 303 AeroSpace Proectant. I apply that every few weeks and have never had a problem with oxidation. I also wipe the boat down with a spray wax everytime it is taken out of the water.
argonaut 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2014 On advice on another forum, I carry out a 2-part system on hull ... Using Collinade products ... after wash & dry, the hull is prepped with Coilinade gellcoat cleaner, then given a good coating of Collinade Fleet wax. This 2nd step is repeated twice a year ... (gelcoat cleaner is initial only), I also do same for all fibreglass surface inside the boat. Boat is washed down with car shampoo & rinsed after every use. Rip5 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2014 The correct name is Collinite. Expensive products that do work, but just wax it regularly with Meguiar's Flagship wax and you will not need to prep, apply cleaner, and then wax. Polish is not really any better than a good wax.
