brianb131 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 Most: One of the side port holes on my 2001 242 cruiser is leaking badly. It will need to be replaced. Where do I get a replacement and what is the part #?
The MOST 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 Hey there Brianb131, The part number is PORT-81811-S-WHITE-OPENING and the manufacturer is Bomar Industries (www.pompanette.com or 603-826-5791). Before you order one, there are two "doglegs" that screw down the window seal to make it tight. They are small, black and on the corner of the black trim ring on the inside. Check to see if they have loosened or fallen out.
Breezin 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2010 Could you post a picture or a sketch of these doglegs so I can find them on my 242? Also, I could not find the given part number for the portholes on their website. Could you post a link to it?
The MOST 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 Hello Breezin, It seems that the White is no longer available (couldn't find it either) but the black is offered by ITC Marine (616-396-1355). Web link is http://www.itc-marine.com/portlights.html The part number is the same, #81810-S. The doglegs are shown in the attached photo...there are 3 on the bottom and 2 on the top. Those are the screws that can loosen over time. Check to make sure the dimensions are matching your existing portlight before you order.
