  1. Hello Zyggo, Do you have Merc or Volvo? Also, what year is your 192 SC?
  2. An outboard is a totally different animal...different center of gravity, power of prop torque and propulsion force just to name a few. Just go easy on the trim and enjoy.
  3. Welcome back to shore Craig.... For the 2007 and 2008 model year, trim tabs were not offered as a factory option on the 234FS/FSX. For the 2009 model year, the Volvo Penta QL # 1140714 trim tabs became an option. However, there were modifications made to the hull to "beef up" the fiberglass for the installation of them. It is probably possible to retrofit them, but would be a very difficult and precise procedure. It is also a very tight fit. I checked with our tech reps (US and International) and none of them had dealers that had done this procedure to date. Also, after checking the files, it is not an option that is frequently requested. Performance tests under load on the 234 without trim tabs installed have all been very favorable for handling. There are lots of 234's in the field and this is the first request to retro trim tabs. Is there something about your boat's handling that you feel you need to change?

  5. Hello Ian, The poly shower seat in the 340 is disributed by Teak Isle Inc. (407-656-8855) or on line at teakisle.com. The vendor part number is SEAT-POLY #20-18528. The Monterey part number is 45907016-00-SEAT POLY SHWR CF/CD in case you cannot buy direct from Teak Isle, you can go ahead and order it from your Monterey dealer.
  6. Hello Julius, What model and year is your boat?
  7. Hello Peter, If the boat has been sitting unused, the lines are most likely full of air and the water pump needs to be primed. Make sure the main breaker for the freshwater system is turned on...open your taps to allow the air in the lines to escape and fill themselves with water so your pump can gain some pressure. Can you hear the water pump running?
  8. Hello Seawolfe, The pressurized inlet for dockside water hook up was an option on the 322 Cruiser in 2004. If your boat was ordered with one, it will be located inside the dunnage box where your shore power hook ups are.
  9. Hey there Makin-memories, It is terrible that your boat was vandalized. Some people have no respect for others- or themselves! As for your Mobella lock, the part number is 7422S-FLUSH-C ALUMINUM and can be purchased at mobella.com. It is the standard type used in the marine industry and has been in use for many years. The vandals have probably done the same thing to other boats as well and knew exactly where to "jimmy" it. With a deadbolt that uses screws they might/will damage the fiberglass on your C-way door by prying it off. We do not offer alarm systems as an option here at the factory. However, there are many available on the market that have monitoring devices to let you know (via texting, etc.) when a door is opened, the boat is started or moved and some are sensitive enough to detect movement if the boat is boarded. First, do an internet search for "Boat Alarms" and do some research on which type you need and how much you want to spend. I googled it and came up with 1,580,000 different listings. Please let us know the outcome.
  10. Hello Ian, The galvanic isolator is located behind the shore power hook up. To access it, you will need to remove the shore power panel (several screws) and you will see it/them on the right hand side. If you have 2 shore power cords and hook ups, you will have two isolators.
  11. Yes, your Cruiser is a 2004 model. Thanks for the phone number update- Taylor has moved their production operations around lately and I wasn't quite sure where to send you!
  12. No, they are sold as one piece "MONTEREY" for a single side or as a set for port and starboard. As with all molded products the color, texture and sheen can vary a bit from run to run and to insure a quality look it is best to get the whole logo. Then if the letter matches to your liking- just replace the single letter and save the rest for spares.
  13. Hello EastCoastB, Your teak inlay is distributed by Maritime Wood Products (maritimewoodproducts.com or 800-274-8325). Visit their site for more detailed information on their chemical products and they also provide technical support direct. They recommend using "MARITIME Teak Deck Caulk" for the caulking and "MARITIME installation epoxy" to adhere the teak to the fiberglass. Teak certainly is beautiful but does require a bit of maintenance!
  14. The vendor in 2004 for the 322 Cruiser canvas was TaylorMade. On line is www.taylormarine.com/canvas/index.html and telephone is 518-773-0636 in New York. The part numbers were: ONYX A1 CANN-BT-6047-BLK 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR BIMINI BLK (#60470008011) A2 CANN-RT-6047-BLK 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR REAR TOP BLK (#60470008041) A3 CANN-FB-6047-BLK 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR FASTBACK BLK (#60470008041) A4 CANN-SC-6047-BLK 1 PR 322CR TAYLOR SIDE CURT BLK (#60470008111) A5 CANN-WS-6047-BLK 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR WINDSCREEN BLK (#60470008071) MEDITERRANEAN BLUE B1 CANN-BT-6047-NVY 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR BIMINI BLUE (#60470046011) B2 CANN-RT-6047-NVY 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR REAR TOP BLUE (#60470046041) B3 CANN-FB-6047-NVY 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR FASTBACK BLUE (#60470046351) B4 CANN-SC-6047-NVY 1 PR 322CR TAYLOR SIDE CURT BLUE (#60470046111) B5 CANN-WS-6047-NVY 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR WNDSCRN BLUE (#60470046071) COCKPIT COVER 1 CANN-CPC-6047-BLK 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR COCKPIT CVR BLK 60470008061 1 CANN-CPC-6047-NVY 1 EA 322CR TAYLOR COCKPIT CVR BLUE 60470046061 You must be certain that your 322 Cruiser was a 2004 model or these part numbers will not be correct!
  15. Hello Craig, What year is your 234FS?
  16. Hello there CitationX, The factory installed deck hatch used in the 242 Cruiser from 1996 to 2001 was a Bomar/Pompanette (www.pompanette.com or 603-826-5791) 20" round NIBO and the part number was HATCH-N1139-10H-7W. You might need to replace the ring as well and that part number is RING-NT1139-OFFWH. The thru hull transducer can be replaced with a new one. The factory installed Humminbird unit used in the 242 Cruiser from 1999 to mid 2001 was the HDR600 distributed by Techsonic Industries. You can give them a call to find out the current transducer offered to match up to your gauge. Their phone number is 334-687-6613. Also, the phone number to Humminbird is 800-747-9329 or on line at www.humminbird.com. Lots of good "stuff" to look at- watch out or you'll be buying a bunch of new "stuff"!
  17. Hello there snosptz, You can order that logo from any Monterey dealer. You will need your hull identification number (it begins with the letters RGF) when you contact them. They are a stock item and usually ship the same day, via UPS.
  18. Hello East Coast B, Those are called "bungee cords complete" and you can order them through your Monterey Dealer (some have them in stock).
  19. We are currently working on upgrading the "My Monterey" site...hope to have all of the bugs worked out by the end of the week. I am glad you were able to get the manual, it is one of the additions to be added to the "Product Support" section! I am certain that your dealer can take care of the issue at winterization...keep us posted.
  20. Hello Mike, For the 2003 298SC the kit was part #12 X 9 SPECIAL CONFIG HINGED, 12X900002 and the vendor was indeed Bennett. Have a great day,
  21. Hello ipod903, Your Monterey 296 Cruiser cockpit carpet was manufactured by R & R Textiles, 5096 Hwy 76 in Chatsworth, Georgia. Phone is 706-695-1555. The part number was 296CCC-6414 and the original color was Moonshine #R9002. I hope this helps!
  22. hello Tim, Those are engine compartment and bilge pump thru hulls and are not conencted to the sink. You are right about the top one, it is the fuel tank vent.
  23. Hello beau, To get the best advice, go with the windlass manufacturer's suggested product. Their name and model number is usually right on top...in 1998 and 1999 the anchor windlass was not a factory option on the 262 Cruiser. There are alot of sites with tons of information and here's a couple to start with: www.boatingandmarineinfo.org/?p=201 www.defender.com/category.jsp?path=-1|10391|32295&id=593390 This site has Lewmar rodes (very widely used windlass in the industry). To help prevent kinking of the rode, be certain to motor to the anchor-not using the windlass motor to "pull" the boat to the anchor. Once on top of the anchor, retreive it as straight up as possible. Check your shackle and swivel to make sure they are not corroded and are moving freely. Also, a little care goes a long way on rope! Thoroughly wash, rinse and dry your rope as part of a regular preventative maintenance schedule. Often, once a rope has been overstretched or compromised in some way (such as chafing) it loses it's integrity and needs to be replaced. We currently ship a Delta "Fast set" #14 with the boats in the 262 Cruiser LOA range.
  24. Hello SaskMonterey, Depending on the year of build, the engine serial numbers are in different locations. The most likely location on your engine is on the starboard stern at the split line stamped on a metal tag. Use an extension mirror to make it easier to see. You can also call Merc direct at 405-743-6566 to ask a tech. The serial numbers are also on the vessel registration, prior insurance company papers or previous financial documents (ask the previous owner??).
  25. Hello Tim, You can order the parts you need through any Monterey dealer and the part numbers are below.
