  1. Hello Bunkworth, Good idea to increase storage on your 276! You will have to have a custom door fabricated. The original gel color is non longer available from the factory. You can purchase gelcoat "kits" from Mini-Craft, www.minicraft.com (800-282-8244) or Spectrum Color, www.spectrumcolor.com (800-754-5516). You will need your hull identification number when you contact them to obtain the correct match. There is also the option of ABS, Starboard or poly/plastic products (easy to cut and sand edges smooth)to make a door to fit.
  2. It can be used for dock lines...or snorkeling masks, etc. while utilizing the swim platform. I have also seen it used as a temporary ice holder for beverages while rafting up with other boats!
  3. Hello TITLEWAVE, Sorry about that! Your stove top is a product of Kenyon Marine(860-664-4906)and the part # is: 40610 2 BURNER 120V 13" X 22" STOVE. Hope this helps....
  4. Hello Patric, Your English is very good! The portlights were a Bomar Industires product (www.pompanette.com) or 603-826-5791. The part number was PORT-G618-28-1-WHT.
  5. Hello Julius, I see from your gelcoat question you posted earlier that your boat is a 2006 290 Crusier. The microwave doors on all models are self latching (just like the ones in your home) so your door must be damaged or it was not shut all the way. You might want to double check that door latch and replace the microwave with a new one if you suspect it is not closing properly. Your factory installed microwave was a Tappan product: 5030B 110V BLACK TAPPAN MICROWAVE. The serial number and model is on the side of the door. They are available at most department stores.
  6. Hey there Brianb131, The part number is PORT-81811-S-WHITE-OPENING and the manufacturer is Bomar Industries (www.pompanette.com or 603-826-5791). Before you order one, there are two "doglegs" that screw down the window seal to make it tight. They are small, black and on the corner of the black trim ring on the inside. Check to see if they have loosened or fallen out.
  7. Hello Titlewave, Your gelcoat is an Ashland Chemical product and the part number is: PART# GELC--WG-LE-1977 DESCRIP: #SL-02075 NESTE WHT. EXT. GELCOAT You can purchase repair kits through Mini Craft at www.minicraft.com or 800-282-8244. I hope this helps!
  8. A television was not an option on the 1996 276 Cruiser. The main panel had an opening for the television breaker in case the dealer (or retail owner) wanted to add one later. Someone may have done that on your boat as a retro install- can you contact the previous owner? The boat was shipped without any breaker, switch or wiring from the factory.
  9. A little confused here...are you looking for the windshield center hatch? Or some part of the canvas?
  10. Hello MauiSplash, unfortunately, the vendor unfortunately went out of business last year. You will have to try and resource it locally, or use Testy's advice.
  11. Hello Slasmith, The Monterey factory installed trim tabs were Bennett and the part number was TRIM-TAB-16X120002 16 X 12 SPECI CONFG. I hope this helps!
  12. Hello Trond, Unfortunately, the original vinyl material used to cover your seats is no longer available from the vendor. If you are replacing all of the seats you can order current 2008, 2009 or 2010 "skins only" from your Monterey dealer and then they will all match. The "skins" are the covering material already cut and sewn into the pattern to re-cover your existing seat bottoms and backs. You can also check with your local upholstery shop or custom auto detailer for a price quote. They might be able to match up the 2003 color with something they have. I hope this helps!

  14. Hello Trond, Your gelcoat was manufactured by Neste (which is now Ashland Chemical 866-276-4347) and the part numbers are: GELC-WG-LE-1977 is the exterior white on the hull and deck and GELC-MG-MP-1003 is the blue on the hull stripe. You can purchase repair kits or small amounts from Mini Craft, minicraft.com (800-282-8244) or Spectrum Color, spectrumcolor.com (800-754-5516).
  15. Hello Gary, If your "local shop" is an authorized Kohler generator service center, their trained technician would be the best source of help. If they are not Kohler generator certified I would contact someone who is. The main phone number is 800-544-2444 or on line at kohlerpower.com to find the closest one to you.
  16. Hello gfick1, That transom shower was distributed by Heater Craft (208-687-4400 or www.heatercraft.com)and the part number was #403SB-HOT/COLD 400 Series transom shower. The freshwater system hoses were 15MM Seatech. I hope this helps!
  17. Hello Dan, After researching, an inverter was never offered on the 282 Cruiser as a factory option and we cannot give you specific procedures or recommendations as we have no data or work instructions to refer to. It is good that you agree with Ian's advice to use only a certified marine electrician!
  18. Hello East Coast B, It looks like the caulking needs to be redone. Clean the stains from the bilge with a marine safe rust/stain remover. Remove the screws and clean off the old caulk. Baking soda mixed with water to form a paste is a good way to clean the screws. Replace them if need be. Re-seat with a marine quality sealant. Seal from the inside as well as the outside. They are stainless (meaning "corrosion resistant") but over time when in a high salinity environment, dockage with stray galvanic current, application or removal of bottom paint or a tiny scratch or burr on their heads stainless steel hardware can develop rust and staining. It is always a good idea to make inspection, cleaning and occasional re-caulking a part of regular preventative maintenance especially in saltwater use.
  19. Hello Gerardo, Contact your nearest authorized Mercury Marine service center for engine related parts. You can find their dealer locator at www.mercurymarine.com or call 405-743-6566 (in Oklahoma). You will need a center that is certified in sterndrive (Mercruiser) parts and service.
  20. Hello EastCoastB, Those little items are called "Christmas trees" and you can get those from any Monterey dealer. There is not a specific part number...
  21. Hello Ian, 1. The owner's manual suggests a "barrier coat" of Interlux Interprotect be applied to the hull before the anti-foul. Is this something I need to do EVERY time I repaint the anti-foul? - No, the barrier coat is a one time process unless damaged by scraping the bottom, beaching on rough shells, heavily scratched, etc. 2. The company doing the anti-foul have suggested to have the "topsides" (between waterline and gunnels)- I think you mean the chines instead of gunnels...? Is the boat stained or discolored waterline to the deck and they are talking about an acid wash? a. They have suggested an 'acid wash'. Does Monterey recommend this? Are there any warranty implications?- This is okay and it makes removing sea growth easier. However, if acid washed it MUST be rinsed thoroughly with fresh water and rubbed to remove all of the acid residue. b. For the actual polishing, what products do Monterey recommend?- 3M products have UV inhibitors and we hear alot of good feedback from boat owners.
  22. Hello Larry, We recently upgraded this site and switched providers...in doing so we lost many manuals and other downloads! We are working on re-loading them but it is a slow process. Send an email to www.info@montereyboats.com, requesting the manual and include your mailing address if you need a hard copy.
  23. On my 330, the arch has recessed lights. How do they come out so I can replace the bulb? Turn the bezel (just like removing a lid from a jar) to loosen it, you will see two screws (phillips head) remove them and the assembly comes apart. The AB switch in the radio/dvd cabinet, is that for switching between antenna and cable? Yes...it is.
  24. Hello Lake Mead Monster, Many manufacturer's (in all industries)have been working staggered weeks of production since last fall due to the current economic conditions. I would not base any purchase decision on the way things are right now as today's business world is not the "norm". To contact Volvo Penta direct in Virginia, you can call 757-436-5100 to check on your part. Have your authorized service center's name and address ready when you contact them. That will help speed up the search process for the Customer Service Representative.
  25. Hello Gerardo, Your tach is a Faria Instruments product and the web address is www.faria-instruments.com or 800-473-2742 (in Connecticut). There is a limited lifetime warranty on it and the part number is TACH-TCH241 w/hour meter. You can file a warranty claim via their website if you like. I hope this helps!
